Project Description

This course provides a comprehensive coverage of the modern high pressure boilers. It discusses all theory in boiler operation and efficiency and includes all the latest procedures in boiler operation, maintenance, water treatment, performance, optimization, inspection, control, troubleshooting, safety, emission and steam system management.

Why attend

The course provides immense theoretical as well as practical information that can be immediately applied to determine and reduce energy losses in boiler plants and energy distribution systems. Participants will be guided through their plant system, demonstrating exactly where and how performance can be improved. Importance will be given on different fuel types and firing systems, and how modern high-efficiency boiler designs and control systems work.

Following practical guidelines and helpful time-saving charts, participants will methodically achieve the maximum efficiency keeping operating costs low and equipment performance high.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the latest knowledge, skills and systematic procedures in boiler operation, inspection, maintenance, safety & water treatment, troubleshooting, performance, optimization and management of the steam systems.

  • Implement the technology for boiler water treatment including laboratory control of boiler water chemical analysis results.

  • Pinpoint and minimize energy losses in your boiler plant and improve its performance and efficiency.

  • Engage proper methods in boiler maintenance, inspection, testing, control, operation, tuning, start-up and shutdown and troubleshoot of the boiler system safely and environmentally friendly.

  • Recognize the operative failures of PRVs  and identify the testing facilities for them.

Who should attend

This course provides an overview of all significant features and concerns of boiler operation, inspection, maintenance, safety & water treatment technology and it is ideal for utility supervisors, power house managers, maintenance engineers, design engineers, corrosion engineers, plant engineers, metallurgists, materials engineers, boiler engineers, supervisors, operators and other technical staff. Furthermore, reliability, maintenance and safety engineers will also benefit from this significant course.
